(Except Stage 4 - Team Time Trial):

The below-mentioned points will be awarded after EVERY STAGE of the 2003 TOUR DE FRANCE, including the last one (apart from the Team Time Trial of course). But the "Points Classifications", "Mountains Classifications" and "Young Riders Classifications" related points will be awarded STARTING FROM Stage 1 (Sunday, July the 6th). Only Stage and Overall Ranking Points will be awarded after the Giro's opening ITT (Prologue)!!!

POINT BONUS FOR VIRTUAL TEAMS

Besides earning points related to the daily performances of their selected Riders and Trade Teams, Fantasy Game players will be awarded more points thanks to their placing in each "Virtual Stage".  Just the way actual riders are often awarded time bonuses when they get into the stage TOP 3 places, so Virtual Teams will earn additional "Bonus Points" in case they get into the Top 3 spots of any "Virtual leg".

- 1st: The winner of each Virtual Stage gets 30 additional Points.
- 2nd: The Runner-up (second placed) in every stage is awarded 15 further Points.
- 3rd: The stage 3rd place getter gains 5 more Points.

POINTS AWARDED AFTER THE TEAM TIME TRIAL
(Stage 4 - July the 9th):

After the 69-km. TTT (Joinville - Saint Dizier) set to take place on Wednesday, July the 9th, Stage Result Points will be awarded to TRADE TEAMS only - and not to any rider - in the following way:

Very Important!
Any rider who should fail an anti-doping test (or being excluded from the TdF because of doping-related reasons, just like it happened in the 2002 Giro) DURING the race will immediately LOSE ALL of his POINTS in the Riders Ranking. (His TRADE Team will not be punished in the Trade Teams' Classification though). This sanction wouldn't apply to riders disqualified due to disciplinary reasons (as happened to Casagrande in the same 2002 Tour of Italy).
