George Hincapie wins USPro Road Championship

George Hincapie wins the USPro Road Championship
Just in Hincapie, Levi and Danny Pate Podium

In a last mile attack George Hincapie attacked his off and on breakmate of the day Levi Leipheimer to solo to the finish and win the right to wear the stars and stripes jersey in 2007.

Levi Leipheimer was the main protagonist in the race that pressed the selection of an elite group of seven including Andy Bajadali, Navigators Insurance's Bernard Van Ulden, T-Bird Burke Swindlehurst and Bernard Van Ulden,  Ben Jacques Mains, George Hincapie and Danny Pate.

Levi Leipheimer, George Hincapie and Andy Bajadali (Jelly Belly) escaped the lead group on the last lap of the circuit and led into the three finishing circuits. Andy Bajadali was worked by the duo of Hincapie and Leipheimer but Bajadali was able to stay with the two veterans of European campaigns until the penultimate lap as Hincapie attacked and dropped both Levi and Andy.

Danny Pate alone in the chase caught an overcooked Bajadali in the last lap to take the remaining podium step.
