Crotchguard
The
latest protection for... dare I say... your near and dear crotch; a change from
the usual chamois creams Crotchguard is a new product that gives protection
where your butt meets the saddle. In the DP
interview
Tracie Oehler explains more about this new approach to lubrication, benefits and
how it works. I've made the switch, myself. I even use it as an aftershave, and
it makes my face as soft as baby's butt.
Tracie would like to give you a sample of Crotchguard so you can try
it out for yourself. Just click on the ad and let Tracie know where to send your
sample. After you try it, write me and let me know how you like it.

International Tour de Toona
"America's Premier Stage Race"
Long
before the Tour of California or Tour of Georgia the Tour of Toona was rocking
the USA cycling world. Back this year on its 20th anniversary the seven day
stage race is back with over $100,000 up for grabs in the Men's and Women's Pro
race. Started in Altoona, Pennsylvania in 1986 as a one day race, it has grown
to become the largest pro-am cycling event in North America, and #1 rated
women's race in the US.
The Race will see the top women and men competitors battling for their share
of the prize money. The race is a great opportunity for a vacation in the
heartland of America to see a top race and get a few miles of riding in the
beautiful Pennsylvania area.

The Tour - The Race
Tour de France Action Novels
Dave
Shield's Cycling Novels are critically acclaimed by critics, pro and amateur
riders alike. The books are not only passionate and inspirational, they are fast
paced fictional accounts of le Tour, that give insight into the life of a young
pro rider as he pursues his dream of winning the tour. (This may sound all to
familiar to some of us who had that dream in the past.)
"Entertaining and inspirational. I couldn't put it down!
George Hincapie (Discovery Channel Cycling Team).
"Reads like the story of my life." Levi Leipheimer, (Gerolsteiner
Cycling Team)
The books are sold through arrangement with Dave's publisher Three Story
Press; you can buy it at Amazon or your local bike shop but if you buy it here
the Daily Peloton gets a commission on each book sold. Even if we didn't get a
commission on the novels I'd be banging the drum for the novels, they're just
that good. The book reads well whether you are a racer yourself or completely
new to the sport. Recommended as a gift to any person you would like to make a
fan, but especially a teenage reader you would like to open up the world of bike
racing.
Read Ryan Barrett's review of the book
here. The
article has links to Reviews of the book from my retired USPostal team
rider Marty Jemison, and others. It also has reviews of other Books and Novels
we have done in the past on Cycling Arts & Culture.
