the Finale
Stage Six, 118.2 miles/190.2 km
Sunday, April 23: Cumming, GA to
Alpharetta, GA
Start: 12:30 pm--Finish: 4:47-5:29
pm

Last year's final stage had Discovery's Tom Danielson hanging on to the yellow
jersey by a mere four seconds, but with a strong team supporting him, Danielson
rode to victory ahead of fellow American's Levi Leipheimer (Gerolsteiner) and
Floyd Landis (Phonak). The fast-paced circuits in Alpharetta made for a
thrilling bunch sprint that saw a one-two finish from teammates Gord Fraser and
Greg Henderson (Health Net Maxxis). With sprint points still available on
this final stage, the Maxxis jersey could still be up for grabs as the peloton
rolls in to Alpharetta.
