Arnaud Snatches Victory from Thor Hushovd
The 25 year old second year French pro Arnaud Coyot won the second leg of
the Coupe de France in a two up sprint with Thor Hushovd last years winner.

Coyot and Hushovd were part of a 4 man group that escaped on Thors attack in
the last 15 kms. The duo were the only survivors of the quartet of escapees left
to battle for the finish as they kept the peloton at bay by a mere 32 seconds to
snatch the win for their earlier efforts. Mauro Facci won the bunch sprint for
third place.

The Race part of the 2006 Coupe de France started near the sponsors' Haribo
Candy factory in Uzes and finished in Marseille near the historic old port.
Coyot now leads the Coupe de France taking the lead from Bertagnolli who started
his season winning the
Tour du Haut
Var earlier this week.
The Coupe de France continues with Cholet-Pays de Loire, another 204 km race
on the 19th of March.
Marty Jemison Debut
A historic note: Marty Jemison (retired USPS) started his pro career at 29 years
old in 1994 with his debut race as a neo pro riding for the D.S. Jan Rass on the
Word Perfect Team at the Haribo Classic.
