Bouygues Telecom's apparently bright light in the Vuelta a Espana, Unai Yus, did not take the start today on Stage 10, having been caught yesterday with medications in his possession that were not prescribed by the team physician. As of Sunday, he was 17th on General Classification, down 5:49 on the leader.

Possession of such substances is against team regulations, and Yus has been dismissed.

The team states that it is sending the substance to a lab in France to determine its composition.
