After finishing second yesterday at the Giro d'Italia, CSC-Tiscali rider, Tyler Hamilton had his shoulder checked and it was discovered that he rode most of the race with an injured shoulder (a fracture, where the arm meets the rotator cuff).
Docotors have prescribed him rest, for almost a month and no surgery will be required to repair the damage, although he will have to sport a sling for a period of time.
