The technical staff of team Lampre-Caffita have decided not to include Gilberto Simoni in this years Tour De France.

Gilberto Simoni will be back to racing in the Brixia tour , short stage race which takes place from the 22-24 July, thereafter Simoni will be riding in the Tour of Portugal from the 5 to the 15 August which he will be doing in order for preparation before going to the Vuelta in Spain and the classics for the final part of the season.
