Vinokourov wins double

It was Alexandre Vinokourov who proved to be ready for the Olympics and beat all in the timetrial in the Regio Tour. With an average of 45.13 kmh he had Markus Fothen and Shcreck behind. Schreck maintains leading the overall classification, with Vino coming back to one second behind him. Vinokourovs time was 25.15,62 to 25.52.13 of Fothen and 25.54,65 for Schreck.

The Kazache though was not satisfied with the win and got another one the day after. He also overtook the leadersjersey. In his bestknown way he attacked with 1 km to go and therewith did strike the massive sprint. Siedler (Wiesenhof) finished second, just ahead of Pollack (Gerolsteiner). “Vino is the chef”, was wat Schreck knew in the end. “The leadersjersey stays in the team, thats all that matters.” The T-Mobile rider has hios eye though on the one goal in these days, the gold medal in Athens.
