With two terrible stages on the Pyrenees just behind, and some not less terrible Alps climbing into sight, the big names of the peloton made the decision to take it easy on Sunday, and allowed some "daily glory hunters" to go. Less-known riders and/or former and/or presumed big names no longer representing a GC threat could take advantge of that, and score their first points, such that the names at the top of the stage classification on the road
did not belong to the "usual suspects". But were things the same in the Fantasy Tour? The answer is in the Stage 14 links down in the page.
Below you can also find the complete list of all Virtual Teams competing and their respective rosters, as well as the updated list of all stage winners and classification leaders thus far in the game; and since Wednesday you may find also a brand new feature: the results of the "Best Team Name Award", the contest traditionally paying tribute to the creativity of Fabio's Fantasy Game players, whose winner gets a copy of Scott Coady's "The Tour Baby!" DVD plus a DVD of Jamie Paolinetti's cycling documentary "The Hard Road".
******** Note: A previous mistake concerning the Leaders in the TdF Trade Teams Competition (we wrongly awarded six stage points to Team CSC instead of the actual new leader T-Mobile) has been fixed, the wrong Virtual team scores corrected, and the stage report edited accordingly. Such that a few players may notice how their respective virtual teams got six more points than in the previous (wrong) Stage 14 reports, and others how they lost six points. All of the above didn't affect either the top 3, bonus-awarding places in the stage ranking (even if with the correct scores Lubomir Kopanicak fell short of the podium by one point only) or the Top 3 overall anyway.
