Saturday afternoon was the annual Michael Boogerd Fan Club Day, for the fans of his official fan club website. This was the third Fan Club Day, and it was the biggest one yet.

There were many activities, including a Michael Boogerd Quiz, where the attendees were asked 26 questions about Michael. At the end of the day, the person who answered the most questions correctly was chosen as the winner of the quiz. The winner was Daan Roes.

After the quiz, Dries Bos, a soigneur for the Rabobank team, talked to everyone about his job. Then there was a raffle for some very nice prizes, including a highlights book, one of Michael's jerseys as well as shorts and gloves.

Each Fanclub Day, there is also a ride with Michael, but the weather was very bad yesterday, so the ride was shortened - the brave souls wanting to take a spin with Michael only rode the parcours of the Westland Wil Vooruit Cycling Club.

After the ride everyone got to ask Michael ask questions. There were between 80 and 90 people who attended, including lots of press, and some special guests - Michael's wife Nerena, Michael's parents and his brother.
