Basso and Voigt to CSC!
One out, two in: the same day American Tyler Hamilton made his move to Phonak Hearing Systems (see link below) public, CSC'S Team Manager Bjarne Riis officially announced the coming of two riders to the Danish squad for the next season: Italy's hopeful Ivan Basso, the best-placed rider from his country in both the 2002 and 2003 Tour de France (he finished 11th and 7th respectively), will leave Fassa Bortolo and wear the Scandinavian team jersey, and so will do Germany's Jens Voigt, coming from French squad Crédit Agricole.

The 25-year-old (26 in late November) from Cassano Magnago, in the outskirts of Varese, reportedly signed a three-year contract with CSC, whereas Voigt signed for 2004 only.

Our friend Pierre in Denmark reports that while CSC fans are pleased with these team additions, they are very disappointed to see Tyler Hamilton leave.
