First Bianchi win
In the front of the Mirabell Castlle start and finish of the first stage of the Wiesbauer Tour (former Austria Tour) hosted the first win of the new Bianchi Team. It was 24 year old Steffen Radochla who outsprinted Italian Simone Cadamuro of the De Nardi team. It was a good rehearsel for the Salzburger part of Austria since it official is a candidate to host the World Championships in 2006.

The last three k. and more it was the mintzgreen team which set the pace. Lorenzo Bernucci from landbouwkrediet tried to break away. He though is not allowed to get away properly. His team and the german team led bij Rudy Pevenage work their way towards a massive sprint. Dutch youngster Niels Scheunemann (Rabobank) tried his luck too, but is secured by the bunch. Another active riders were Vlaanderens Nico Sijmens and Lars Bak (Fakta).
