Rider's reactions after PR
It was again a great world cup race and although I haven't seen it live, the live ticker from Pod and Crazyjane was definitely worth a read afterwards! The tensions was even soo great that i was still very anxious to read on even after knowing who won. Have a look here to re-live the race.

Johan Museeuw was of course thrilled after the race for winning, but he had confidence this entire week: "I had the legs from the Ronde, which I absolutely wanted to win for a fourth time. That didn't work, but today I win Paris-Roubaix for the third time. That can count."

While manny probably thought it was a bit early to go solo at 40 km from the end, the lion once again showed he is the strongest: "I race on intuition. I choose my moment and then I am off. I knew it was still far, that it was going to be a fight against life and death."

The question on everyone lips now is of course if Johan Museeuw will retire now, since he already planned to do so if he would have won the Ronde van Vlaanderen. "Normally, I will quit after the worl championships in Zolder (Belgium), but you never know with Museeuw. With Boonen, I have my successor ready. I told him that on the podium"

Young Tom Boonen from US Postal was indeed the revelation of the race. Racing in the first big escape and then hanging on till the end, chasing Museeuw down and eventually getting caught by Weseman. Very strong ride of the neo-pro! "I knew I was good. I felt better and better the past few weeks. I accidently managed to get into the escape after 30 km and was able to hang un untill the final. But I couldn't match the jump from Johan Museeuw, he was unstoppable!"

Wilfried Peters, director sportif for Domo, had butterflies in his stomach. "I didn't know being a DS was so tough. I had faith in the escape from Johan, but I panicked a bit when Boonen and Hincapie started the chase. But Johan finished it off fantastically! I hope he won't stop."
