Cannondale USA becomes Team T-Mobile

Cannondale recently announced that their womens Elite Team, Cannondale USA, will now be called "Team T-Mobile." Read their press release here.

The lovely Jamie Lee Curtis is the spokesperson for VoiceStream Wireless; leads me to wonder if we will be seeing Ms. Curtis on a bike or at the races soon - we can only wait and see. T- Mobile acquired VoiceStream Wireless June 1, 2001; see their press release.

Who is T-Mobile? None other than Deutsche Telekom AG - none other than the sponsor for Team Telekom! Cannondale will continue to be the official bike and apparel sponsor to the team.

"We're very excited to have Voice Stream coming on board," said Cannondale's Scott Montgomery. The objective from day one with this team was to sign a powerful title sponsor. With VoiceStream's support, that very important piece of the puzzle is now in place."
