Germany's Kappes and Beikirch are now firmly in the lead, after they achieved the 200-point score and put one lap into all their main rivals. Monday was a good day for Scott McGrory and Matt Gilmore too, as the Aussie-Belgain pair got a similar score as the leaders, and gained a bonus lap, thus moving up to second overall.
Italy's villa and Martinello were knocked out of the podium, and are now trailing behind Holland's Stam and Slippens, whose chances to repeat the victory they got in Bremen remain quite slim anyway. Night 1 leaders Madsen and Sandstød dropped to eighth overall, and are now sitting ahead of American Marty Nothstein and Italy's Adriano Baffi, who moved up one place into ninth.
