German riders Andreas Kappes and Andreas Beikirch are alone at the top of the ranking after Sunday afternoon's session, marked by a record attendance, as they managed to open a 3-point gap over their most dangerous challengers, Switzerland's Risi and Betschart.
Italian Veterans Silvio Martinello and Marco Villa moved up to third overall, while main favourites Scott McGrory and Matt Gilmore, even though they are top-scores with no less than 176 points, dropped to fourth place, and are trailing one lap behind the top pairs. Good news for Danny Stam and Robert Slippens, who gained two places and moved up to fifth, bad ones for former leaders Sandstod and Madsen, as well as crowd favourites Doerich and Lehmann, that lost some places during Sunday's session, although they don't give up and are still hoping for a good placing.
No changes for American Marty Nothstein and his Italian partner Adriano Baffi, sitting in tenth place since the opening night. Despite being on of the best pair around, Switzerland's Franco Marvulli and Alexander Aeschbach are at the bottom of the ranking, probably paying for the fact they haven't been racing a 6-day event since last November.
