Track Cycling - Six Days of Bremen: Night 2 Results & GC

Dutch contenders Robert Slippens and Danny Stam took over the lead after the second night of competition in Bremen's "Stadthalle". The duo from the Netherlands won both Time Trials of the night, as Slippens and Stam were faster than Nothstein and Stocher in the 500 meter competition, and Slippens edged out the American in the Lap Record attempt too. It's the second win in as many days for the Dutch guy in this contest. As it often happens to pairs featuring Marty Nothstein, the U.S. contender and Stocher scored a lot of points, but lost four laps to the leaders, and dropped from fourth to tenth overall.

Current runner-ups in the overall ranking are former leaders Beikirch and Kappes of Germany, with Scott McGrory and Matt Gilmore kept the third place they had got in the opening night. Good news for Italian veterans Villa and Martinello who moved up to fourth, and for the "Alpenexpress" too: after a poor start on the first night, Bruno Risi and Kurt Betschart won the Team Elimination race and gained three places on Friday.
