Since making the transition from competing duathlons to devoting herself full-time to the bike, Kim Bruckner has arguably become one of the foremost competitors in US women’s cycling. A self-described "all around" rider, she has excelled at not only stage races, but again nabbed the national Time Trial Championship in 2002.

Having spent the last two years at Saturn, she will now join forces with T-Mobile, a team co-sponsored by USACycling, with their eye on the 2004 Olympics. Dede Demet-Barry had this to say about her new teammate in a Bike.com interview; "Kimberly will increase the power of squad substantially and I am looking forward to training with her on the roads around Boulder this winter in preparation for the season."

2002 was certainly an impressive year, to say the least. Not only is she brilliant in cycling, but holds a BA from Val Paraiso University and an MA from the University of Denver.

She also very recently became engaged to Chris Baldwin of the Navigators. They are planning an October, 2003 wedding. Congratulations Kim!

Be looking for the interview where she talks about Saturn and her hopes are for the upcoming season with T-Mobile.
