Sunday's session wasn't held at the usual "Magenta Velodrome" but in Nessadiou, where one of the few available tracks of the country is located.
And on the 250-mt. track local idol Jean Michel Tessier and Italian veteran Adriano Baffi gained plenty of points and broke the tie with Franck Perque and Jérôme Neuville.
The Italo-Caledonian team has gone on a "solo break", with a 127-points score, while the all-French duo lost even second place to Germany's Steinweg and Weispfenning, who are currently just 4 points down to the leaders, and might take the top spot in the next day of racing.
Day 3 was also marked by the crashes of Cédric Agez (twice), Damien Charlot and Nicolas Nagle (once). Nevertheless New Caledonia's Nagle and french partner Benoît Genauzeau managed to move up into fourth overall.
Sebastén Reb and his brother Guillaume are the new leaders in the "Mini Six Days".
