Track - Six Days of Grenoble: Night 5 Results & GC

An extremely close battle for the top spot: with just one night to go, both the all-Swiss (reigining champions Aeschbach & Marvulli) and the Italian (Baffi and Marco Villa) pairs have got the same number of laps and (290) points. France's Tessier and Sassone are trailing one lap and 80 points behind, while the chances of a final win for South Africans Hunter and van Zyl are very slim, although they reduced the gap to the leaders on Monday night. Luke Roberts and Steven de Neef lost two more laps, and kept seventh place overall.

Good news for Australians coming from both the Scratch and Keirin contests: Sean Eadie retook the overall leadership in the former, while fellow countryman Jobie Dajka finally dethroned Laurent Gané in the latter. Arnaud Tournant leads two more french riders in the Golden Sprint competition, with Britain's Craig MacLean currently fourth overall.
