| Argos-Shimano, the team of German sprinter Marcel Kittel, announced their final 2012 Tour de France roster, having Marcel Kittel lead the team in a hunt for stage wins. The 99th edition of the Tour de France begins on Saturday, June 30th in Belgium.
The nine men who will represent Argos-Shimano in their debut Tour de France include: Marcel Kittel, Yann Huguet, Matthieu Sprick, Johannes Fröhlinger, Koen de Kort, Albert Timmer, Patrick Gretsch, Roy Curvers and Tom Veelers. The team is looking for at least one stage win by sprint or attack.
Marcel Kittel will be looking to challenge world champion Mark Cavendish (Sky) in the sprint stages. "Our team has a world-class sprint train and with Marcel Kittel we have a young sprinter who in the Tour will explore his possibilities at the highest level”, co-manager Sissy van Alebeek says."
