| Rabobank's Luis León Sánchez claimed victory yet again Friday at the Spanish National Time Trial Championships to defend his national time trial title. It is his fourth national time trial championship. Sánchez bested Jonathan Castroviejo (Movistar), who finished 1:23 behind Sánchez, in the 42.3 kilometer course in Bejár. Alejandro Porto finished 1:40 behind Sánchez to place third.
Luis León Sánchez has won the Spanish national time trial championships previously in 2008, 2010, and 2011.
