Liesbet de Vocht (Rabobank) has won the UCI race from Knokke to Bredene. In the race for the Lotto Cycling Cup De Vocht was the strongest of a small break over Topsport Vlaanderen riders Else Belmans and Maaike Polspoel. Roxane Knetemann and Sarah Duster two other Rabobank riders completed the top five. Latoya Brulee won the sprint of the bunch for sixth. Lauren Kitchen, Martina Zwick, Kelly Druyts and Evelyn Arys rounded off the top ten.

The 110 km race (47,6 km + 8 local laps of 7,8 km) started in pooring rain and chilly conditions. There was not much happening for the first 30 km. Just before entering the cobbles in Houtave the bunch has split into several groups with the first group about 20-25 riders strong including the whole Rabobank and Topsport Vlaanderen team.

In the local laps Roxane Knetemann (Rabobank), Else Belmans (Topsport Vlaanderen) and Bianca van de Hoek (Specialized-DPD-Sram) broke clear. Behind Vera Koedooder (Sengers Ladies Team) did most of the work in the chasing group as both Rabobank and Topsport Vlaanderen had a rider up front. Due to that the first and second bunch came back together.

Van den Hoek dropped off the lap ahead and the two Knetemann and Belmans worked well together. Turning into the final lap the gap of the two was 40 seconds on the bunch. In the final kilometers the bunch came closer and Liesbet de Vocht and Maaike Polspoel went in the counter-attack. The two bridged up to the front within the final kilometer after which De Vocht won the sprint for the win. For De Vocht it's her first win of the season.
