Stage 1: Morges - La Chaux-de-Fonds - 184.5km
Sky Procycling's team leader Bradley Wiggins claimed victory at the first road stage of the 2012 Tour de Romandie when he sprinted to victory ahead of other overall contenders in a group sprint finish. The sprint win made a clear statement to other riders that Wiggins is in good form and has high 2012 Tour de France ambitions. Lieuwe Westra of Vacansoleil-DCM claimed second on the stage with Paolo Tiralongo (Astana) overpowering BMC Racing's Tejay Van Garderen for 3rd place.
Wiggins now leads the race after taking over control of the yellow leader's jersey from his Team Sky teammate Geraint Thomas after winning stage 1.

Stage 2: Montb - Moutier - 149.1km
Jonathan Hivert of Saur-Sojasun won stage 2 of the 2012 Tour de Romandie, winning in an uphill sprint battle against Rui Costa (Movistar) and Luis Leon Sanchez (Rabobank Cycling Team). Overall race leader Bradley Wiggins of Skyprocycling remains in the overall lead with team Sky teammate Michael Rogers sitting in 2nd overall just 7 seconds behind Wiggins. Sitting in 3rd place overall is Rabobank rider Bauke Mollema who is 9 seconds off Wiggins pace.

Stage 3: La Neuveville - Charmey - 157.6km
Luis Leon Sanchez (Rabobank) won the 3rd stage of the 2012 Tour de Romanide in yet again an uphill sprint against Gianni Meersman (Lotto Belisol Team) and Paolo Tiralongo (Astana Pro Team) who finished 2nd and 3rd on the stage. Sanchez's win gave him a ten second time bonus at the line, which catapults him into 2nd overall, only 1 second behind race leader Bradley Wiggins (Sky Procycling), who was unable to respond to the uphill sprint battle.
With only two stages remaining in the week long race Bradley Wiggins will have to give all the energy he has to stay in contact with the other overall contenders on tomorrow's mountain stage and then ride a good final time trial on Friday to secure the overall win.
