Rachel Warner (Luray, Virginia) won the women's "A" road race on Saturday and finished second in the criterium to lead the Lees-McRae College cycling team to the 2012 Southeastern Collegiate Cycling Conference Road Championship on Sunday.
Warner delivered perhaps the performance of the weekend in Saturday's road race, dominating the field and running away with the win en route to more than a nine-minute margin of victory. Cinthia Lehner (Greer, South Carolina) topped the podium in Sunday's criterium, edging Warner for the win.
Zac Felpel (Willow St., Pennsylvania) added an impressive win in the men's "A" criterium after finishing second in the road race on Saturday. Joseph Welsh (Cordova, Tennessee) turned in a strong third-place performance in Sunday's criterium, as the Bobcats head into May's Road Nationals with the momentum of a conference championship.
Lees-McRae returns to action on Friday, May 4 when the Bobcats travel to Ogden, Utah to compete for the program's second national title at the USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships.
