2012 Santos Tour Down Under - Lotto Belisol
Two time Winner, André Greipel leads the Lotto Belisol sprint train into
Adelaide - Fast Legs, with Hansen, Hendersen and Kaisen aim for stages
Sprint king André Greipel returns to the Santos Tour Down Under in 2012 with
the Lotto Belisol team, with one objective in mind - a stage win.

confirmed that two-time Santos Tour Down Under winner, André Greipel,
would ride the race in South Australia from 15-22 January 2012.
"We know Greipel is a formidable sprinter and our race suits him well, so it
will be interesting to see if he can be the first rider to win three editions of
the Santos Tour Down Under," Turtur said.

Belisol said that although Lotto Belisol is a new team name with a four year UCI
WorldTour licence, they have a long standing history with the Santos Tour Down
Under and it is with a lot of pleasure and good memories that they will compete
in 2012.
"The Santos Tour Down Under has gained its position as opening stage race for
the new season. We have selected a team that will be ready to compete for
victory in each of the stages. A good start of the season is very important to
us and how could we better start the season than with a stage win in the Santos
Tour Down Under?" Sergeant said.
"The Lotto Belisol squad will be built around our top sprinter André Greipel.
Also André has a very warm relationship with the Australians and their Santos
Tour Down Under. reunited with former HTC-Highroad team mates, Adam Hansen and Greg Henderson in the lineup, we have a
local Australian and New Zealand rider, each with a specific role to support the
team."
Greipel, a two time Santos Tour Down Under winner (2008 and 2010), is a crowd
favourite and the Australian cycling fans will welcome his return to the race.
Greipel said he was looking forward to the start of the new season.
"Racing in Australia has a special meaning for me, since it is here that I
first knocked on the door as a world class sprinter. I am looking forward to the
stages where we will be able to test our new sprint train with solid riders in
who I believe a lot. Winning a stage in the Santos Tour Down Under is my first
objective for the 2012 season," Greipel said.
The team will be led by Team Manager, Herman Frison (BEL).
