HTC-Highroad's Chloe Hosking sprinted to second place in the second and final race of the Rendition Homes Cup on Monday evening giving her the overall win in the two day series.

"The race was less aggressive than last night, but I think the course lent itself to that, explained Hosking after the race. "But, I felt really strong again today."

With three laps to go in the race, 20 year old Hosking punctured but was able to get a replacement wheel and chase back onto the field. She started the sprint but was passed by Annette Edmondson, who took the win.

"Maybe I was a little overconfident and I definitely started my sprint too early," Hosking explained. "It's something I can learn from and a good lesson this far out from [the Tour of] Qatar. Races like these are good to be able to try different things like that."

"I can now go into my next block of training with an open mind - I have another race on Wednesday and hopefully I can have a good showing there. Then it's a matter of staying focused on Qatar. I'm looking forward to racing with my team there and working with the girls to get more victories."
