Second iteration of re-born Boston race marks the end of the road season in New England

Criterium National Champion, and 19-year old local phenom Gavin Mannion (Trek-Livestrong presented by Radioshack). The men’s race was shaped in the first two laps of the 0.7-mile course when a group of 12 riders broke from the field and created an insurmountable gap. A little after the ½-way point, that group splintered, and a lead group of five that included Holloway and last year’s winner Kyle Wamsley (Bissell) was able to challenge teammates Jacob Keough and Karl Menzies (United Healthcare presented by Maxxis) who were separated by the break of the lead group. .
