"The Omega Pharma-Lotto team can look back to the spring classics with
satisfaction.
"In some races, the team has not been up to scratch; but our leader Philippe
Gilbert has set all things right. Phil signed a brilliant series, crowned by his
great win at the Amstel Gold Race and, icing on the cake, his present number one
position in the UCI World Classification."
"Well, it is now time to take aim at the grand tours, to start next week on
Saturday with the Tour of Italy."

A mix of young and mature talents...
The selection including some young talent mixed with the with hard experience of
veterans which should bring some interesting results.
For neo-pro Adam Blythe (21), Michiel Elijzen 4th year pro (27) and Jan
Bakelants (24) , the Giro will be the baptism of fire.
Jan, as a former-winner of Tour de l'Avenir, has real ambitions for great
stage races; he will have opportunity during the three coming weeks to discover
and try them.
Adam was good in the top classics, he will continue his schooling during the
Giro. He might take his chance in some sprint finishes.
As the first three days will be on Dutch ground, Michiel will have some
ambitions at the start and, being a chrono man, he looks forward to the opening
prologue.
Francis De Greef has (25), already raced an excellent Giro. This year, he
will aim to win a mountain stage. He is a mountain racer; Matthew Lloyd (27) is
as well, and both of them can be useful to our mountain man, Daniel Moreno.
Our Spanish climber has chosen the Giro - Tour combination rather than his
national Vuelta. His decision in favour Giro d'Italia was influenced by the hard
mountainous final week which could help his getting a good final result.
And with Sebastian Lang (31), Olivier Kaisen (27), and Charles Wegelius (32),
we have three experienced great tour riders. Sebastian and Olivier are always
ready to pull, and our Brit intends to continue on the line of his strong Tour
of Romandie.
