2010 Team Jelly Belly Presented by Kenda Tires
Danny Van Haute and partner Jelly Belly returns for their 11th season with Kenda Tires as presenting sponsor. Team roster bolstered by addition of Mike Friedman, Anthony Colby and Jonathan Chodroff

Jelly Belly Renews Sponsorship for 2 years
A two-year contract extending primary title sponsorship of Jelly Belly Cycling Team was announced by Jelly Belly Candy Company of Fairfield, California. The confectioner is the longest running sponsor in the US pro peloton enters its 11th year as a continetal team.  The popular team is well known for their colorful jerseys and the sports performance jelly bean "Sport Beans" (R) by Jelly Belly.

Kenda Tires Presenting Sponsor
The team also announced new sponsors for the 2010-2011 season. Kenda Tires signed on as presenting sponsor for the upcoming season. The Jelly Belly Cycling Team presented by Kenda plans to contest the NRC Calendar in the US and several UCI races overseas. More new sponsors signed for the season and providing equipment are Focus for bicycle frames, Pactimo apparel and DeFeet socks.

New riders
With the commitments from Jelly Belly and Kenda Tires, Team Director Danny Van Haute has signed several new riders, most notably Mike Friedman, formerly of Garmin Slipstream. 27 year old Friedman enters his fifth year as a pro is a 5 time USA track Champion and was on the '08 US Olympic track team and is expected to bring a depth of experience to Jelly Belly.

Anthony Colby moves over  from Colavita after 3 years in the pro peloton; a strong climber and G.C. threat in stage races will be bolster the team in both one day and stage races this year.

24 year old time trial specialist Jonathan Chodroff moves over from Ouch enters his second year as a pro rider.

Two riders have been added for more spark - Sena Mazich and Kaevin Stolier, both move up from the Waste Management team, Jelly Belly's feeder team. Two additional riders Jacob Rathe and Carter Jones will ride for the U23 National Team and will join Jelly Belly at key races.

Returning riders
Five returning riders have been the heart of the team for several years now: Brad Huff, Bernard van Ulden, Keil Reijnen, Will Routely and Jeremy Powers are the core team members who have helped bring the team record to new heights in the last two seasons.

Fast man and one day threat, 30 year old Brad Huff starts his 4th season with Van Haute's Jelly Belly outfit; a six time national champion on the track and winner of a 2 gold medals in the 20-07 Pan American games in omnium and the Madison. Brad picked up 5 victories in 2009 including the overall of the Tulsa Tough.

Bernard Van Ulden signed his first pro contract in 2006 with Webcor builders; the 30 year old rider from San Francisco is a sturdy all rounder who spent two years on the Navigators team before coming over to Jelly Belly in 2008. Van Ulden brings international experience to the team after as he enters his 4th pro season most recently finishing 5th in the Herald Sun Tour against some stiff competition that included Bradley Wiggins, Chris Sutton, Svein Tuft and Jonathan Cantwell.

23 year old young gun Keil Reijnen, starts his third year with the 'Sports Beans' squad, joining the team as a stagiare in 2008; a talented young rider he's been knocking on the door of a victory delivering 9 top ten performances in 2009. Definitely a rider to watch in 2010.

Canadian, 26 year old Will Routely joined the team after 4 years with the Symmetrics pro outfit that raced the UCI America's Tour. Routely is an all rounder capable of a fast time trial and produced 9 top 5 performances in 2009.

Last but not least, Jeremy Powers currently rocking the USA Cyclocross calendar signed with the team in 2004 and is as at home on the road as he is in the mud and sand of cyclocross. Powers has racked up ten cyclocross victories in 2009 and will be a key support rider for the team in 2010.

The team will meet for their first training camp on February 9th in San Marcos, California
