Interview with 23 year old Swiss Champion Jennifer Hohl of the Bigla Cycling Team.

Why did you choose cycling as your sport?
My brother competed in Mountainbike races in the past. I was there to support him and afterwards I tried to ride on the bike myself. Since then I started to compete in bike races.

What type of rider are you?
My strength is to choose positions in the field. Regarding my capabilities as a rider I'm an allrounder.

Do you have any hobby's next to cycling?
I love riding horses, shopping, snowboarding and biking

How do you look back on the first part of the 2009 season?
I had problems finding my form, I was ill for two weeks in February. In the World Cup Ronde van Drenthe I crashed and hurt my head. As a result I had strong headaches for a while during intensive efforts. At the moment I'm getting my form back in the Tour de L'Aude.

You are riding for the Bigla Cycling Team. How is it to ride for this team?
It's my fourth year with the Bigla Cycling Team. We are a "family". It's great to ride for this team.

Team Bigla will end it's sponsorship at the end of the season. Did you expect this?
Unfortunately, the main sponsor Bigla withdraws it's sponsorship. It's a pity, because we have a great team and we all know each other very well. Our strength is also our weakness. It is a pity that the team will end at the end of the season. I'm very sad about it.

Which performance you are most proud of?
My two Swiss National titles (Junior Women 2004 & Elite 2008), my selection for the Swiss national team for the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing and my seventh place at the European Championships in Bulgaria 2007.

What do you like the most in cycling?
To win!, the tactics, to suffer, the cohesion, the heights and unfortunately also the lows! And also the wonderful landscapes and the different countries which I can see due to my life as a cyclist.
