Presentation Team Flexpoint 2009

Today the Dutch Flexpoint team has been presented to the press. The team is ready for the 2009 season with Susanne Ljungskog and Mirjam Melchers-van Poppel as the two team captains. The biggest change in the team regarding to last year is the change in the management. Klas Johansson is now the main responsible of the team while sport-director Jean-Paul van Poppel left the team to join the Cervelo Men's Test Team.

Johansson already knows the team very well as he is already a member of the team for four years. Last year he was part of the Menikini team for the first part of the season before rejoining Flexpoint. Johansson is convinced that the team is able to battle for the prizes in both The Netherlands and the rest of the World.

The team is counting on Susanne Ljungskog and Mirjam Melchers for the stage races and the tough one-day races. For the flatter races they will count on Loes Gunnewijk and Loes Markerink. The goals of the team are to do well in the Tour de L'Aude, The Giro Donne, The World Cups, of course the Profile Ladies Tour and the World Championships. The team will ride all the World Cups except of Montreal. The Profile Ladies Tour is very important for the team as it's important for there sponsors as the race will be held in The Netherlands.

New in the team for 2009 is Anna van der Breggen while Amber Neben (Equipe Nürnberger), Suzanne van Veen (Leontien.nl), Bianca Knöpfle, Anita Valen, Adrïenne Snijder and Elise van Hage (Red Sun) left the team.
