USA Nationals Road Race - Levi on the Line

Winning ... Let Levi do it.
It was a brave gambit and one that had the fans on the edge of their seats when
Levi Leipheimer left his break companions in the dust with over 25 kilometers to
go in the US Road Championships.
Had he attacked too early, or should he have stayed with his break mates a
bit longer? Would the major talent in the closing chase like Hincapie, Julich,
Hamilton, and Pate catch him in the last meters?
Levi proved up to the measure and challenge; meeting it head on. Leaving it
all on the road, to win the road championship against the odds he solo'ed to the
finish to victory.
