Tour de France: Liquigas Roster Announced

General manager Roberto Amadio has announced the nine riders featuring the Liquigas squad at the Tour de France, scheduled from 7 to 29 July.

Next Saturday, at the start in London, the green-blue team will include Filippo Pozzato and Manuel Quinziato. The two athletes, back from a strong performance in the Italian championships, are going to show up well in La Grande Boucle.

"My condition is good," Pozzato explains, "as proved by yesterday’s race (5th at the Italian championships), lost only due to a few mistakes. The morale of the team is high; we aim at showing up well and above all at reaping the results of our work. I don’t like to hide myself,  my purpose is at least a stage win."

Among the most resolute riders approaching to the Tour, is Manuel Beltran, an athlete with a great experience that could stand out in mountain stages. 36 year old "Triki" Beltran has ridden in six Tour's de France and three in riding in support of Lance Armstrong in the mountains of France from 2003 to 2005.

Riders will be lead by general manager Roberto Amadio and team managers Dario Mariuzzo and Mario Scirea.

From the Tour de France until the end of the race season, the team will use a new hospitality motor-home furnished by FSA. The delivery has taken place last Saturday, at the Italian Championships in Genova.
