Mercury Rising - Pozzato's Milan San Remo System Six

Filippo Pozzato Has a Special Ride to Deliver Victory to the Gods of San Remo

Pozzato proudly displays his new System Six

BETHEL, CT USA—In order to repeat a win at Milan-San Remo, Liquigas rider Filippo Pozzato knows he needs all the stars working in his favor. He needs the sacrifice of his team, he needs to be on form, he needs a little luck—and he needs to have confidence in his equipment. Cannondale knows that Pippo has an affinity for fast and beautiful machines—namely his Ferrari and his System Six. “For Milan-San Remo I wanted something special on my bike to inspire me. The color is Mercury Silver. In ancient Rome, Mercury was the messenger to the Gods. And, as a substance, Mercury is very hard to catch!”
For Milan-San Remo, Cannondale combined the beauty of both machines. Pippo’s System Six was painted by Artech Design, a custom paint studio located near Bologna which has done many important projects for Ferrari and Lamborghini. In fact, the mercury-colored paint used in this bike is a unique blend which has been developed for Ferrari - it costs €500 per half liter!
On Saturday, if the cycling gods are favorable, Mercurio Pozzato will deliver the message of victory to Via Roma in San Remo!
