Team Advil-ChapStick began in 2006 under the partial guidance of Michael
Engleman and his Women’s development program, with a core group of dedicated New
Jersey riders. Their work and efforts were instantly noticed with a pair of NRC
race wins.
Laura Charameda Directeur Sportif
The team will be under the guidance of one of America’s most
successful female cyclists Laura Charameda and her assistant Cindy Carroll. “I
am eager to begin the 2007 racing season with the Advil-ChapStick Women's
Cycling Team,”
Directeur Sportif Laura Charameda remarked. “I feel that my biggest
contribution to cycling can be made through helping individual athletes and
teams develop in positive directions. We have a great group of individuals
involved with the Team Advil-ChapStick, and I am excited to play a role in
helping them train effectively, race well, represent our sponsors proudly, and
be positive ambassadors for American cycling. Like my work with junior cycling,
this is an opportunity for me to repay my former mentors by benefiting the next
generation of cyclists with the quality of guidance and support that was central
to my own success as an athlete."
