rain, the mud and the heaviness of the course.

others. She took the Dutch title with a gap of almost 2.00 on World Champion
Marianne Vos and 3.09 on Reza Hormer-Ravenstijn who finished 3rd. Britt
Jochems who finished 7th overall won the title with the juniors ahead of Cindy

Jordy Beuker finished 2nd and Twan van den Brand 3rd after material problems for
Geert van der Horst. An other favorite for the medals Julian van Dijk had
problems as well in the first lap and he was immediately without standing a
chance for a medal.
Finally at 15.00 the Elite-Men had their race. The expectation was a clash
between youngster Lars Boom and the older guys Richard Groenendaal and Gerben de
Knegt. Lars had to start from the 3rd row so it was Gerben who had the best
start but after some laps Lars took the lead and despite some little mistakes in
the last laps he won with 24 sec. on Groenendaal and 1.25 on De Knegt. Boom is
still an U23 rider but he asked permission to start with the Elite and with
success. At the Worlds in Hooglede-Gits he will start with the U23.
