Among the first top riders expected are: defending champion David George (South Africa), the 1998 winner of Le Tour de Langkawi Gabriele Missaglia (Italy, Selle Italia), the winner of stage 8 the 2006 Tour de France Sylvain Calzati (Fra, AG2R), Hong Kong star Wong Kam Po who has been recently crowned Asian Games Gold Medallist and Ng Yong Li who is the first Malaysian cyclist to have earned a pro contract in Europe with Portguese team Vitoria-ASC.
