in each "Virtual Stage". Just like actual riders are often awarded time bonuses
when they get into the stage Top 3 places in real races, so Virtual Teams will
earn additional "Bonus Points" in case they manage a Top 3 finish in any
"Virtual Leg", Team Time Trial included, of this game.
- 1st: The winner of each "virtual stage" gets 25 additional points.
- 2nd: The runner-up (second place finisher) in every stage is awarded 10

Very Important!
Any rider who should fail an anti-doping test (or being excluded from the
Vuelta because of doping-related reasons, just like it happened in the 2002 Giro
d'Italia) DURING the race will immediately LOSE ALL of his POINTS in the Riders
Ranking.(His TRADE Team will not be punished in the Trade Teams Classification
though). This sanction wouldn't apply to riders disqualified due to disciplinary
reasons, like Francesco Casagrande in the same 2002 Tour of Italy.
